Katelnytska Natalia
1986
Natalia Katelnytska is a designer and photographer from Kyiv, Ukraine, born in 1986, currently residing in France. Her journey into photography began after the war in Ukraine started in 2022, which became a way for her to overcome depression and find new meaning in life. With many years of experience in clothing and accessory design, Natalia expresses her creativity through photography, experimenting with various techniques as a form of self-expression.
Natalia is passionate about conceptual art photography, exploring emotional states through sharp contrasts and intense emotions. Her works range from bright, expressive color photographs to dark, black-and-white, melancholic images. This contrast reflects the fine line between different female emotions, combining vibrant expression with deep inner experiences.
Despite her relatively short experience in photography, Natalia actively participates in international competitions, winning awards in various categories at the International Photo Awards (IPA), BIFA, TIFA and PX3. Her artistic exploration has gained significant recognition.
Her works have been published in the photobook "100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers" by the French publisher FORM.Paris, in 2024, as well as in the magazine Artistcloseup. Additionally, her photographs have been featured in online publications and galleries such as Photo Vogue, ArtDoc Magazine, Iconic Magazine, Dehazed, LensCulture, Glasgow Gallery, and One Eyeland. This autumn, Natalia Katelnytska's works are being exhibited in Milan, Glasgow, and Ukraine.
