Maria Primachenko (1909-1997) - Ukrainian folk artist, representative of "naive art"; Laureate of the National Prize of Ukraine named after T. G. Shevchenko. Honored Artist of the USSR since 1970, People's Artist of Ukraine. 2009 - by decision of UNESCO - recognized as the year of Maria Primachenko.
