Photographer Olga Volianska (b. 1975), originally from Ukraine, holds degrees in fashion design and
architectural design. Based in Odesa, she combines photography, art, and research in her multifaceted
works.
In 2017, she discovered her passion for photography, initially focusing on travel. Olga has participated in
numerous workshops and photo trips worldwide, from Paris to Nepal. In 2020, during the pandemic, her
perspective on photography evolved, and it became a vital tool for self-expression. She actively pursued
fine art photography, presenting her work to audiences.
The challenges of the pandemic and ongoing Russian aggression prompted Olga to focus on shooting in
domestic settings and working with personal archives. Her photographs embody a desire to harness the
transformative power of art to shape social context. As a photographer, she transcends traditional genre
boundaries, skillfully blending various techniques and expressive means.
Her works are exhibited in Ukraine and internationally. Olga is a winner of multiple international
competitions. Her work is published in "100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers" and is represented
in The Cardinal Gallery, Toronto.
