Famous contemporary Ukrainian artist. In 1976 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, where he studied with Viktor Puzyrkov. In 1992, together with Tiberiy Silvashi, Alexander Zhivotkov, Mark Geiko, Nikolai Krivenko, he founded the "Picturesque Reserve" group.
In 2011, Kryvolap was named "Person of the Year" in Ukraine; in 2012 received the T.G. Shevchenko National Prize.
